Sledders need a minimum of 300cm probe if you ask us. Why? Well we usually have more people in the backcountry, so if its a deeper burial we have the resources to dig them out! Trust me you would not want your probe to come up short. This is probably the most undervalued step in a rescue. The locking system that Mammut uses is also top tier technology, its a cam system that as you pull the inner cable it locks, so you cannot mess it up.
